Hi Douglas! I’m still hanging in here reading every word you write. I’m still entranced with this story of Will and Nadine. And I’m still sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for this romance to get going. If you decide to do this ever again, perhaps you would consider making the installments weekly instead of every two weeks? I don’t like waiting so long!
@Kathy Stout Your devoted readership keeps me motivated as an author as I draft the remaining chapters of this series, which started as a standalone short story! If it was the only creative project that I was tackling, I could readily make it a weekly publication on Intermittently Human. However, on top of many other things going on in my life, I am busy working on mapping my first novel, pitching my completed first book of short stories, polishing my second short story collection, and also pitching some of my poetry. So it has taken a lot of discipline to write a chapter every two weeks for my readership. I anticipate concluding the series this summer. After that, I am leaning toward writing and sharing a standalone piece of short fiction or creative nonfiction once a month, so readers can enjoy my storytelling without waiting to hear what happens next. I appreciate your being so engaged with the series and hope you are having a great Wednesday evening! Douglas
Nadine knows her dad well… the speed at which the leaky roof was discovered, and then fixed could perhaps only be accomplished if the man with the leak was her dad, with major powers of marine-force persuasion.
I do hope Nadine and Will can come to an understanding.
Thanks so much for writing this story. I look forward to every installment.

Nadine is a smart cookie!

So glad to read another installment. 2 weeks is a long time!
What a little water leak can do...
Love it!! A feel good, mischievous but clever little tale. Thanks Douglas for another great chapter.
Disgruntled daughter wins the day!
I'm surprised that Nadine could be so devious, but it's looking like it worked!
Smiling. Hope life goes well for Nadine and Will.

Nadine! You go, girl. Sometimes you've just gotta make your future happen.
But will this backfire?
